Wim Vandewiele
We are very happy to announce that Fr Abbot has appointed Dr Wim Vandewiele as an external collaborator and member of the advisory board for our Centre for Leadership Studies and Practice. Wim Vandewiele (Antwerp, 1979) is a Belgian sociologist and a social and cultural anthropologist. He is visiting professor of the Faculty of Theology and Religious studies at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium.
With this appointment we are furthering our international collaborations and Vandewiele’s work at Ealing Abbey focuses on leadership. This is a particularly important area of concern in western monasticism today. Many monastic communities are now coming to understand that the identification, preparation and formation of future leaders is a pressing need.
